The
Tanzanian First Lady and Chairperson of Wanawake na Maendeleo Foundation (WAMA)
tomorrow will be launching the RapidWomen Tanzania Model in Dar es Salaam.
The
RapidWomen Tanzania Model is an interactive software tool that shows how women
centered strategies focused on three aspects; Reproductive health, Gender norms
and Education, can increase the quality of life of women, families,
communities, as well as overall national development thus impacting on the
Human Development Index (HDI).
Based on
local Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) data, the model has great potential
as an advocacy tool that can be used by women leaders, government leaders and
civil Societies, calling for a more focused 3 prong approach to national
development.
